"Life is a party. Dress up." - K.Ricci

Hi! My name is Kyle. Yes, said just like a boy's name, but no my parents didn't want a boy. I started this blog because I enjoy reading others' blogs so much. I thought I'd like to share my day to day with not only family and friends, but others like me.

You'll see a lot of baking, daily outfits, my yorkie Oscar and the time I spend doing not so special things. I'm also a single girl and I think that is something everyone can identify with. The struggles of dating and building relationships.

So this is STILL my tumblr where it's all about me, me, ME!

I declined a date to King’s Row (huh?) tonight to stick with my original plan.  Kaila and I went to help my wifey decorate her first Christmas tree in her new house!  Her boyfriend didn’t think they “needed” one, but good thing we don’t care and we don’t listen. :)
I thought it was important being their first Christmas AND her parents will be coming from Southern California for the holiday.  And I’d already bought her an ornament prior to hearing this disturbing idea of not getting one.
It all worked out and the tree looks beautiful!

Wifey made dinner to thank us for our hard work around the house. It’s amazing how easy a tree is to decorate when it’s not huge! With the three of us it went really quick. The measuring and hanging sh*t later was the hard part.  Either way, I love meal not cooked by me.

{Not My} High School Reunion

Although there was the annoying ex-boyfriend factor last night I was happy to see everyone else at the Waterloo Club.  Which, for those of you not in the know, the word club in the name may be a bit of an overstep.

It was Kaila’s first social outing in the 209 and I think it was a success.  Although it wasn’t our high school reunion, these are the kind of great friends that always welcome us.

Meet my New Year’s kiss.  I know you’re saying to yourself that last night wasn’t New Years, but I don’t think a little auditioning hurts anyone. Right?  Haha

This is what “drinking your face off” looks like.  I must disclose though, that it was a group effort though.

Simone's New House: Painting, Day 1

I’m so glad that for once I had the foresight to take a “before” picture!

I should have taken a closer shot of the fireplace.  The previous owners had painted it a dark, smokey gray and then went over with a sponge of white paint.  I’m not sure if they were attempting some kind of faux look, but it’s pretty ugly.

Goodbye ugly!  Hello lovely!

I’m about to make that wall my B*TCH!  I started to get a little down about our lack of “progress” so Simone told me I should start rolling.
Really, we were making tons of progress, but not the cool kind you can see in pretty colors on the wall.

I just wanted there to be hard evidence of how hard I worked tonight.  Although I did have to leave at 10 and as you can see, Simone was still hard(er) at work.

I went to my first Thunder game two years and 6 days ago… To this very game.  Pink ice, fights, shouting fans… How could I not fall in like with this game?

I would never call myself a sports fan, but I may have been shouting profanities with the best of them tonight.

More photos from Saturday night… I couldn’t not post these.

Shortly after midnight many costumes were ditched and replaced with pajamas.  And just like every other party, the girl somehow managed to separate from the men.  Not for long though, several trouble makers crashed our party. ;)

HallowEve: Last night was just a  warmup before tonight’s festivities.
{We may have hung out with Captain Morgan.}

The vanilla was DElicious.  I wish I had a second one to eat right now!
We ended our trip with cupcakes and (terrible) coffee in Union Square.  Despite the obnoxious protest against Obama and the war in Iraq, we managed to make the best of the little bit of sunshine.

I know everyone has really great friends, but my wifey just might be the best.  Would your girl friend take the day off work, get up early and drive out to San Francisco to spot sailors?
Maybe.
A real trooper here.  We walked down to the Ferry Building and I whined the whole time.  My new booties really started to stick it to me. AND?  We didn’t see a single sailor! :(

Fleet Week!

I may have mentioned before my ridiculous fascination with sailors and their hot, HOT look.  After watching the episode of Sex and the City when it was fleet week in New York I knew I had to go!  What I didn’t realize was that San Francisco also has a fleet week!

After a few quick messages to twitter and yahoo messenger, my wifey rapidly text her boss for the day off and next thing you know I’M HEADED TO FLEET WEEK!  We’ll be roaming the city tomorrow, doing who knows what making out with the first sailor I find!

Think good thoughts for me because how often do I follow through with such lofty aspirations?
